Description

The first of a series of paintings I will be doing, to sell in the Summer Meeting. I want a collection of maybe 6-7 pieces representing crustacean diversity. No easy task.

This guy hails from Panama and represents the Stomatopoda (Mantis shrimp) clade.

I've seen several Mantis Shrimp's in an aquarium on a seaside restaurant here.

Very impressive creature in terms of looks and capabilities

I want to try eating'em one day. Preferably grilled.
